How do I become an enrichment instructor or aide?

You need to have a desire to learn the basic skills required to work enrichment classes. Training will be provided. Complete a job application to get started.

Does my child have to attend the school hosting an enrichment program?

No. Children can attend any program at any facility (if they meet the age requirement).

Does my child have to be potty-trained to attend a class?

Yes, unless it is a class designated for parent and child. If children attend a class by themselves, they must be potty-trained.

Where do I find youth programs offered?

Great Bend Rec produces three program guides a year containing all the upcoming activities/classes for that season. Check out the current Activity Guide and enroll in upcoming classes by calling (620) 793-3755.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Limited Scholarships are available for residents of USD #428 meeting criteria for children 16 years of age and under.  Upon approval for current calendar year; 50%  of program fee is eligible for scholarship. Some activities are exempt from this program or provide limited scholarships and t-shirt fees.  There is an application process that needs to be completed prior to enrolling.
